Thank you for visiting my site. This blog is being written to coach and help managers and leaders in all types of enterprise; business, non-profit, government, military, and religion. From all of my years on the front line, I know one big thing. The pressures of becoming a productive leader can take a toll on family and faith. Without finding the right balance between all three areas (work, life, and faith), usually none of the three offer true satisfaction. Some call this work-life balance. I suggest all three areas are important and should work together.
Let me be clear about one key point. Faith is a very interesting attribute and topic. My work does NOT promote one particular faith paradigm. Here is my full disclosure. While I believe in and practice my own personal Judaeo-Christian worldview, I know enough about the element of faith to support the idea that it is a very personal thing. When I write about, coach or teach the faith component of my material, I talk about it being a basis for personal, family values. I neither judge, nor contest, nor do I challenge anyone’s own statement of their faith. Rather, I work with them to rekindle that very important factor for helping them find their balance, a balance consistent with the faith belief system they have.
This blog will take a good look at ways to bring balance back into your life. Here you will find actual business case studies as well as some occasionally funny stories about friends, colleagues, or folks I’ve gotten to know over the years.

My special passion is for new, first time managers; those unsung heroes who keep the fires burning and make amazing transitions from doer to leader. Anyone thrust into that position for the first time quickly realizes several things:
- You don’t know what you don’t know
- It’s awkward to confess to upper management that you might need some help
- Your peers don’t treat you the same
- You want some help figuring things out, but you don’t know where to turn
